This is our first Spring in our new home. We decided we wanted to make things feel extra "Springy" around our home, by adding more color to our landscape. This morning we worked as a family to plant hedges, flowers, and spread mulch around our flower beds. We also, worked in our little garden....which is showing promising signs of life. Our peas, lettuce, strawberries, raspberries, and cucumber have all sprouted and are steadily growing! We LOVE spending time in our yard...it brings us so much happiness everyday! We still have a few more flowers to plant. I will post our final product once we finish our planting. Sweet Liam, helps us every step of the way. He makes working in the yard such a joy by adding his own fun twist to Spring planting!
He puts his tractor truck to work moving flower bushes around!
He helps Daddy carry heavy flats of flowers.
He decides sitting inside the wheel barrel is the best place to keep an eye on daddy.
He makes great effort to make sure he gets as dirty as he possibly can ( which I just love...I think kids should get dirt under their finger nails, between their toes, and in their hair!)
He turns the empty plant cartons into a stacking game!
He gets his hands on the hose...making things extra muddy and dramatically upping the fun factor!
By the end of our morning, we accomplished a lot as a family. Liam was covered in dirt from head to toe. He went straight into the bathtub, ate his snack and drifted off for a very lengthy nap. What a perfect spring morning!
