Puppies, Parties, and Phobias?!

Uncle Austin and Aunt Rachel moved home from Hawaii at the beginning of December. Aunt Rachel invited us to attend the holiday party at her church. When she told us there would be a puppy petty zoo...we were in, as Liam is consumed with all things "doggy." The party was wonderful and the puppies were darling as can be. They had all sorts of wonderful winter inspired decor and music and St. Nick himself was in attendance. I was excited to snap a photo of Liam's first 2011 encounter with Santa, but soon realized that Liam did not appreciate jolly old St. Nick the way we thought he would. Liam has never shown any reservation about anyone up to this point, but there was something about this Santa fellow that got Liam's eyes to swell and lip to curl over. Why is it that Santa is so terrifying? Maybe it's the beard. Anyways, this was the kick start to a month long worth of terrified Santa photos. I am sure next year Liam will be all about Kris Kringle. Thank heavens Papa was there to comfort Liam. He and Liam spent a good part of the evening watching and listening to the musical performers. Liam loves music and he loves to dance to a good tune. He danced and clapped and listened to the performers all on the lap of the jolly man in his life...Papa!
