Mommy has been teaching me about Spring. This being my first Spring, we decided to make the most of it. We look for signs of Spring each day when we are out on walks. I notice Spring is everywhere....
Even in my Mommy's hair!
I wake each morning and can't wait for my Mommy or Daddy to rush me outside to hear the birds chirping in the spring sunshine. While out for a walk, Mommy and Daddy pointed out this pair of "love birds." These love birds inspired Mommy to read me a story about love birds that lay eggs in a wonderfully crafted nest.....this is where it all started.....Mommy and I have been on a hunt for the ultimate sign of spring.....a birds nest!
We woke this morning to find a tiny little egg shell in our front yard...a sign of a hatch-ling and a sure sign there must be a nest near by! We looked and looked but could not find the nest to which this little egg shell belongs....very mysterious!
We decided to check out a few books about baby birds and hatching during our Library time today. We are hoped it would give us the clues we needed to find our nest.
We sprawled out on the backyard lawn ( a favorite past time of ours lately, on these beautiful Spring days!)
We listened to the chitter, churp, chatter of the busy spring birds.....
We hoped they would tell us where we could find their nest!
But the birds did not tell us where their nest was. We decided maybe, we just couldn't hear them right....so Mom sent me swinging sky high....up with the birdies.... we hoped I could charm them into leading us to their nests!
Charming as I was....they did not tell me where their nest were!
At the end of the day, we did not find our nest....but we had a lot of fun walking to the park, exploring the yard, visiting the Library, relaxing under the shade of the trees and swinging till dinner time. We did not feel discouraged.....Papa told us the neighbors have two birds nest at their house......Mommy said she would take me to see them in the morning! Spring...it really is fun!
