Christmas 2011

It was wonderful to have Christmas fall on a Sunday this past year. It made the day feel extra full of the true spirit of Christmas. We woke up Christmas morning to two wonderful surprises; the first was a darling house Uncle Brady had crafted out of a cardboard box, the second was a wonderful large red sandbox that Grandma and Papa had built especially for Liam. Liam was so excited over them both and was not anxious for me to drag him inside to dress for 9am church. We rushed to get ourselves dressed and joined my Grandpa, my parents, Aunt Anita and her family, Aunt Lisa and P.J. for church. After church we headed to my Grandpa's house to open stockings, presents, and eat Christmas brunch. Liam ( still being a 2, 2 hour nap a day kind of baby) only made it to the presents. He and I missed the brunch and came home for a restful Christmas nap. Liam's main gifts were a power wheels 4-wheeler, a broom and duster just his size (as he helps Mommy clean every morning, and diligently does his morning cleaning chore) and a vacuum that actually sucks up dirt! He was given a number of other fun and thoughtful gifts, and adores each one of them.
Uncle Brady must have spent forever crafting this little house.
He spared no detail, down to the Christmas lights and snow!
Liam was more interested in playing outside in the sunny weather, than diving into his stocking. He did take just enough time to snatch up a new set of play keys!

It was suck a crack up to watch him drive around the living room!

Liam discovered the hidden compartment and decided it would be a perfect place to keep his keys!

I scored a pair of rain boots from my parents. I love them and use them each day while playing with Liam in out backyard, working in my garden box, and watering our flowers with Liam!
Adam hit the gift card jackpot...my parents know that food is definitely the way to Adam's heart and gave him cards to all his favorite places.

Aunt Rachel and Uncle Austin spoiled us with many wonderful gifts, Liam was thrilled with this learning toy all about farm animals. He has played with it everyday since Christmas!
