Is this real life??

Today, as I washed out the chunk of sweet potato in my little Prince's hair I could not help but think to myself.....Is my baby really 8 months old? I simply can not bring myself to believe it.

Liam is more fun than ever. He has the most delightful personality. We just ADORE Liam and cherish each day we are blessed to be his parents. At 8 months Liam:

* has another nickname to add to the bunch....Mr. Wiggles.....he is always moving. He is so very curious and simply MUST know what is going on at all times and what every noise is!

*Is just about there when it comes to crawling. He gets on all fours and rocks, he army crawls, he rolls, and scoots....he is just Desperate to crawl!

* Is learning climbing presents a whole new world....he is just starting to pull himself up on things....like the side of the crib ( Mommy and Daddy are thinking it is time to lower his mattress.)

*Can get himself to a seated position whether he is lying down or rolling around. When he wakes from nap time, he sits up and peaks his sweet little head over his crib and reaches out for me to pick him up with a gigantic smile on his face.....melt, melt,....I just melt!

* Is a fabulous eater.....he will eat any veggie,all kinds of grains and legumes, and enjoys the sweetness of fruits on occasion!He is learning the concept of chewing and is into food with more texture these days.

* Is such a teething champ....he has 2 teeth but really has not been grumpy he only woke up a couple extra times the nights before each tooth broke through! ( this is such a blessing for Mommy.....she couldn't stomach knowing her little Mr. was in pain.)

* Is trying so hard to feed himself. He picks up his snacks and they don't quite make it into his mouth....but he is close!

* Still LOVES his soccer ball above all other toys. He can trap the ball, and plan his foot and kick it across the room.....truly amazing! (I think Papa is most proud of his natural ability!)

*Finds his Daddy hilarious. To date, nobody can make Liam laugh the way his Daddy does.

* Likes to get his hands on everything and examine whatever he has in detail. He will grab and object and hold it way out in front of him and just look it over and wave it around, with a very focused expression!

* Still loves his swing.

* Still loves to be outdoors....he is especially fond of the wind, and watering the garden with Grandma.

* Still loves to story/ Rhyme time....especially when Mommy makes all kinds of funny animal noises.

* Still loves to kick, he kicks anything that resembles a ball, kicks his legs rapidly when he is excited, and even kicks at the table during meal times!

* Still fake coughs for attention.

* Still likes to drink from our Cups.

* Still loves animals especially farm animals.

* Still loves spending time with is Grandma and Papa. (*Papa is very special to Liam.)

* Still loves to hear Great Grandpapa's deep voice.

* Loves water

* Is a great sleeper/ napper...most of the time he is able to fall asleep on his own when we lay him down for a nap or bed. The only exceptions are when he is gassy or burpy!

*Can put his "bink-a- bink" in on his own, and drink from his sipee on his own.

* Gives the BEST kisses.

* Scrunches his nose ( this is new, he just started doing it a week ago and does it all the time....I am trying to get a picture...he moves every time....I will get it one of these days!)

* Is starting to get shy at times and he buries his head into my shoulder. ( I LOVE it when he does it!)

* Reaches out for us when he wants to be held, when he is done with a meal, or when he is done playing in his play disk.

* Does not cry often....but has developed a Fake cry that is so phony....it is so silly....we all laugh when he does it, and he smiles and laughs too!

* Makes us laugh everyday. He loves when we are laughing at him....he gets that from his Daddy!

*Knows to look up when we say birdie. He loves to listen for birds and spot them in the yard....we do this just about every morning!

* Is still the ABSOLUTE apple of our eye......we could not love him more!
