Our little Pumkin...

Our little Pumpkin turned one month on the 19th!! It is wild to think he is already a month old! This last month has been the best month of our lives....both Adam and I could never imagine how truly happy we could feel. We decided to celebrate Liam turning a month, by getting out of town for the week for our first little get a way as a trio. We headed up to Northern California to watch uncle Austin's football game ( go university of Hawaii!!) My dad was able to get a little onesie made, with Austin's O' line logo and number. As it was a nighttime game, Liam and I stayed and cuddled in the hotel....our Daddy went to the game with the rest of the family. After Austin's game, we ventured a little further north, just outside of San Francisco. We spent the week sight seeing at a lackadaisical pace. Some of our outings included, checking out a local flea and farmers markets, touring the Jelly bean factory, cruising around the city and hanging out at pier 39. Liam slept through just about all our outings, but we enjoyed being together as a family!

The 19th was his "official 1 month day,"as we call Liam our little pumpkin we decided to celebrate with all things pumpkin. First, mommy bought Liam a knitted pumpkin hat to wear to his first Pumpkin patch. Daddy and I searched high and low through that large pumpkin patch, and we both agree that Liam is the cutest pumpkin around. We did however, find a runner up, and bought Liam a tiny pumpkin! After our visit we headed home to snack on pumpkin pie (I made it testing out a "healthy recipe," it turned out pretty yummy....and bonus....sugar free!) To add to the celebration, our Daddy gave Liam his "gift".....a new car......we wanted something larger and safer. It came with a tag.....to our little pumpkin! We ended our celebration by crawling into bed and snuggling up together, and reading bedtime stories about Halloween pumpkins!

This past week, Liam has grown out of his newborn diapers, and most all his newborn clothes. He grew out length wise first, and was fallowed by weight.....he now sports chubby cheeks and the cutest thunder thighs you have ever seen!

Our sweet Liam has grown ever sweeter, he smiles constantly and has started to laugh. He loves kisses....and Mommy and Daddy give him a million kisses each day. He has moved past his dislike of his car seat, and diaper changes. He loves to stretch out his arms and legs, especially when he wakes. It is so hysterical.....and is very characteristic of Adam! He has also grown more vocal and makes a variety of grunting, squeaking, and cooing noises!

We are now settled in our routine, we eat every 2 1/2-3 hours, then we have awake time fallowed by nap time. We squeeze in fun activities through out the day. Currently our favorite activities include taking walks, reading story books, singing time, tummy time, and Liam's favorite.....baby spa time, which includes his daily baby massage! I realize that might sound ridiculous, however, studies have shown that an infants health is greatly improved with a daily massage, as well as and increase enjoyment being held, snuggled and cuddled more...so i figure.....why not!

This last month has been wonderful...the best month of our lives! Adam and I feel beyond blessed! We are happy to see Liam learning, growing, and developing a sweet personality all his own! So as we celebrate Liam being one month old we say......"cheers and here's to month number two!"
